Resource Manager

As a Resource Manager at Adrenaline, you will be responsible for planning, allocating, and managing company resources across projects, ensuring optimal utilization by assigning employees to tasks based on their skills and availability, while collaborating with project managers and other resources to meet client and project demands to achieve successful project delivery, and incorporate flexible operations to accommodate the shifting nature of both prospective work and work in the queue(s).

 

Accountabilities

  • Monitor & evaluate project timelines, budgets and resource constraints to ensure the efficient allocation of resources
  • Maintain a comprehensive overview of available resources ensuring their availability and suitability for projects, acts as bridge between project needs and available resources
  • Monitor resource utilization, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks or conflicts and implementing necessary adjustments while maintaining continuity with project and account teams
  • Partner with management and human resources to ensure timely availability of resources, which may be a combination of full-time, part-time, and subcontract/freelance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Resource Planning and Allocation: Assess project requirements, identify necessary resources, and recommend employee assignments, or external contract resources as applicable, to projects based on their skills, experience, and availability
  • Capacity Planning: Monitor overall resource capacity to ensure the organization can manage and scale for all current work in queue as well as upcoming projects, and identify potential bottlenecks with complementary resource plans
  • Resource Utilization Tracking: Monitor resource utilization across projects, identifying areas for improvement and addressing over- or under-allocation
  • Collaboration with Project Managers: Work closely with project managers to understand project briefs and scopes, quantify resource concerns, taking into consideration capacity, skills, and associated gaps, and as such optimize resource allocation
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Generate reports on resource utilization, project resource hours, project timelines, and potential risks to inform decision-making. Partner with project control to analyze project efficiency rating upon completion of project.

 

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in resource management or a related role, preferably in a project-based environment.
  • Proficiency in developing and using resource management tools to track, analyze and report on resource utilization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft portfolio products for data manipulation, reporting and automation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess resource demands and optimize resource allocation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A detail-oriented mindset to maintain accurate resource records and documentation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • A strategic perspective, with the ability to think proactively and implement resource management strategies that align with organizational goals.
