Business Development Manager

Business Development is crucial to the success of our company. As a Business Development Manager (BDM) you are an ambassador to prospects and a support to the Marketing and Business Development teams. You will report to the Head of Growth. The key to success in this role is bringing a high level of energy and outbound activity to activate Adrenaline’s industry leading thought leadership and events engines. You’re responsible for pursuing new business, qualifying leads, and integrating with the Business Development team to formulate the sales strategy. You will also be expected to adhere to sales processes and procedures, such as timely CRM maintenance, clear and concise documentation of opportunity briefs, and communicating clearly with internal teams to ensure clean handoffs.

 

With a collaborative mindset, this role will engage assigned Directors of Business Development and SME support through proper channels and foster a team selling approach. You will be the expert on the client to represent their needs internally at ADR.

 

Accountabilities

  • Generate new qualified leads through outbound prospecting and industry engagement
  • Qualify inbound inquiries and serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients
  • Bridge Marketing and Business Development to convert MQLs to SQLs
  • Onboard internal Business Development and subject matter experts into qualified opportunities
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency of lead data, documentation, and CRM processes
  • Support and advance sales automation efforts

 

Responsibilities

  • Attend 6–8 industry events annually (or more) to identify, engage, and build relationships with prospective clients
  • Utilize CRM (HubSpot) to manage and convert Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
  • Execute consistent, professional, and persistent outreach sequences to nurture leads
  • Respond to inbound inquiries, conduct initial qualification, and develop a clear understanding of client needs and future opportunities
  • Prepare concise, high-quality client briefs that capture key objectives, challenges, and long-term potential
  • Operate within established sales processes to ensure consistency, speed, and accuracy
  • Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Business Development team members
  • Monitor and contribute to improving cost-of-sale metrics within new business efforts
  • Leverage and enhance AI-driven sales automation to develop targeted prospect lists and support quarterly outreach initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of sales or account management in professional or advisory services
  • Consistent record of success in consultative and relationship-based sales
  • Experience with the financial services industry, retail design and construction, marketing, and/or branding
  • Adaptable to remote work with frequent travel
  • Team player and collaborator who understands how to overcome obstacles to get work done
  • Positive attitude detail oriented, self-starter, and able to bring up others around you
  • Familiarity with CRM Microsoft Dynamics, Hubspot and Leadfeeder a plus
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
